Accountax have successfully defended umbrella companies against HMRC attacks covering numerous contentious areas including expenses legislation and agency regulation challenges. As well as defending companies we have conducted nationwide seminars on the pitfalls of the MSC legislation and protecting umbrella companies.

Accountax teamed up with Accentra Software Technologies Limited an HMRC accredited payroll software developer, to produce a piece of software that would be able to process the complex payroll of umbrella companies and remove the administrative headache. With Accountax’s extensive knowledge of umbrella companies and the associated pitfalls we were able to produce a payroll package tailored specifically for umbrella companies to remove the headache and offer peace of mind.

The software deals with all of the calculation and layout problems that commonly occur in umbrella companies, problems that HMRC are prone to pick up on.

SARAH RODGERS ATT MAAT joined us from a top 10 accountancy practice. She too specialises in managed service company legislation and umbrella companies. Sarah also consults in other contentious area’s such as status, IR35, investigations and technical tax matters.

KYE BURCHMORE LL.B (Hons) has a background in law and has completed his Legal Practice Course. Kye provides consultancy on managed service company legislation and umbrella companies as well as strengthening our IR35, status and agency Regulations team.

Steve Gibbs, Custom Support & Training Manager has been providing customer support to the clients and providing training on Payroll & Financial software systems for the past 15 years. Steve is also incharge of product testing and HMRC compliance procedures.
